Living Laboratory

The Cuyahoga River Valley is a work in progress, a place in which researchers, entrepreneurs, businessmen, professionals, students and residents can continually explore new technologies or processes for sustainable living, systems relationships, and interventions in the context of the Valley’s needs. During the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, the Cuyahoga River Valley served as a cradle for innovation in manufacturing and industry. Moving into the 21st century, we have the opportunity to embrace that legacy by using the Valley as a living laboratory for innovation in sustainability.
