Everett Road Covered Bridge
Covered bridges often serve as a defining landmark and a visual reminder of earlier times. Wooden bridges built in the 19th century were often covered to protect the bridge from exposure to the elements. At one time there were over 2000 covered bridges in the state of Ohio. The Everett Road Covered Bridge over Furnace Run in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the only covered bridge left in Summit County.
