By exploring the basic elements of human interaction with the environment, Steiner's recent book Human Ecology, Following Nature's Lead, sheds new light on how people are engaged in ecological relationships. While the approach of human ecology is largely theoretical, it has broad policy and practical implications, and represents important work for anyone concerned with the relationship between humans and the environment.
Dean Steiner is also a part of a team that is among five finalists to design the Flight 93 National Memorial honoring the heroes of the September 11, 2001 flight that crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Come, join the discussion with Dean Steiner and explore how understanding the issues of nature and culture will help us realize a sustainable future for the Cuyahoga Valley and Northeast Ohio.
